A ROOM WITH A VIEW (PART-1), Learn English through stories #couchcoffeebooks
Hello friends, welcome.
According to me, Learning vocabulary in any language, including English, can be achieved through three natural and simple steps.
1. The first step is to read extensively. READ, READ and READ.
2. By reading often, you will come across new words that you may not know the meaning of. However, through repeated exposure to these words, you will begin to recognize them and become familiar with their usage. (Just like you see many faces everyday and you recognize these faces, may be you don’t know their names). In the same way you will recognize these words and soon they will no longer be new to you, doesn’t matter if you don’t know the meanings)
3. Now comes the final step – to give that face a name or the word a meaning. You can accomplish this by using a dictionary to look up the definition of the word you are trying to learn. Chances are that you already have a general sense of the meaning based on the context in which you have seen the word. Once you find the exact meaning, it will stick in your mind and become easier to recall when you encounter the word again.
This process of learning new vocabulary happens in a natural way, much like how you don't have to focus on every step you take when walking to a familiar destination. Similarly, this method of learning vocabulary can work for you too, without requiring too much conscious effort.
To sum up, I will say, if you want to improve your vocabulary, just READ.
This method has worked for me and hopefully will work for you too. So I will provide videos to give you opportunity to read. In some videos, Hindi meaning of important words are also given. The Hindi meanings are provided for first form of verbs and singular nouns to give you a better understanding of that particular word.
Come and join me to improve your vocabulary and achieve your goals. Best of Luck
