Hamilton man buys heart-shaped hot tub from Dumb and Dumber - Video

Youtuber Michael McCrudden bought the heart-shaped hot tub from the movie Dumb and Dumber for his Hamilton home.

“Oh man I’m a lifelong Jim Carrey obsessed freak,” McCrudden said.

The film stars Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas, who actually attended Aldershot high school in Burlington, and Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunne.

McCrudden spent about $7,500 for the tub and to ship it to Hamilton from Vancouver Island where the previous owner lives.

McCrudden’s wife Kara is less enthused about the new love tub, but it’s money well spent for McCrudden, who was a frequent watcher of the movie growing up.

McCrudden’s passion for Jim Carrey and Dumb and Dumber actually earned him a cameo in the 2014 sequel.

McCrudden says he’s gotten a lot of people reaching out to him, interested in the tub, “I have one guy already asking to use it in a music video, and then I got another guy asking to pay me ten grand to ship it out to Orlando, Florida.”
