We unboxed Costco's Coleman (Bestway) SaluSpa Palm Springs AirJet Inflatable Hot Tub Spa and share with you the full unboxing and setup of the Coleman SaluSpa Hot Tub. We have included chapters to help you follow along with the full setup or jump to the part of installation you are struggling with.
We find this Coleman SaluSpa Hot Tub comfortable for up to 3 adults or 5 children. This spa has an easy to reach and use digital control panel that heats the water up to 104 F (40 C), an integrated water filtration system and durable shell and cover.
A note to potential buyers, the Hot Tub comes with one filter but no test kit or chemicals. On top of your original purchase price of $400-600, expect to pay for your electricity and $50-200 in annual chemical and filter costs. We purchased a wide range of chemicals, test kits, and a floating bromine dispenser to help us better regulate the chemicals. Bromine or Chlorine can be used, but please follow all manufacturer recommendations and test kit directions to maintain your pH, alkalinity, and Bromine or Chlorine levels. I recommend using a digital scale like we show in the video as eyeballing the chemicals can result in extra costs. We recommend you rinse your filter weekly and replace as needed, based on your usage. Also, when you first fill this 1000 L hot tub, its recommended to use 50g of Spa Shock to clean and clear water (i.e. 50g per 1000L).
The AirJet system has 140 jets which release bubbles from the bottom through air from the outside environment. If you run the jets when the air is cold, expect your water temperature to go down a few degrees. The built in heater will increase the water temperature approximately 2 degrees Fahrenheit (or 1 Celcius) per hour of operation and you can set the temperature easily through the digital control. The built in Freeze Shield provides automatic heating to prevent the inner components from freezing during cold temperatures and the spa has a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter to help ground the product and prevent electric shocks while in use.
