Today's Highlights:

A man was shot and killed near Valencia market, close to the Valencia police post on Monday 3rd April 2023.
• The deceased was identified as Jevon Boyce aka Maggi who is in his late 20s.
• Boyce reportedly just left the health center after being treated for a gunshot injury he had received previously.
• The suspects allegedly returned and finished off the job.

A man identified as 23-year-old Shaquille Phillip was reportedly shot and killed at Paradise Hill in Morvant earlier today.
• Phillip who is not from the area, went to check on his mother who resides at Building E in Paradise Heights when he was ambushed and shot.
• Phillip was then taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The decomposing body of a woman who is yet to be identified was found down a precipice in Maraval on Sunday 2nd April, 2023.
• The victim was discovered wrapped inside two garbage bags which were secured with duct tape. The bags were then wrapped in a sheet which was also duct-taped and this sheet was covered with a comforter.
• The woman’s head was also wrapped in a plastic bag and there was an apparent wound to the left side.
• Her decomposed body was clad in a colorful sleeveless dress and a black bra and there were no tattoos on her body.

A Venezuelan national was stabbed to death during an argument with his girlfriend’s relative in New Grant, Princes Town on Sunday 02nd April, 2023.
• The victim was identified as 28-year-old Owell Lester Gonzalez Velasquez who lived at Petite Cafe Road in Princes Town.

A man was stabbed to death during an altercation with a man known to him in Princes Town on Saturday 01st April 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 34-year-old Kerry Skeete aka Parrot, of Claude Avenue in Princes Town and Gasparillo, while the suspect was identified as Kevin Wilson.
• At about 2:45pm Skeete was liming and drinking outside a parlor near his home in Cemetery Street St. Croix Road in Princes Town in the company of Wilson and his sister Melissa Wilson when an argument ensued between both men.
• Skeete reportedly confronted Wilson, who slapped him in the face.

42-year-old Kemba Morris and her 8-year-old daughter Zaya perished in a fire at their Siparia home on Sunday 2nd April 2023.
• Shortly after 5:00am, the fire started at their home on Quinam road, Siparia.
• A neighbor who was passing by noticed the fire and broke a window in an attempt to alert the family, however, Morris was already in the process of waking everyone up.
• Morris’ other children, ages 21 and 16, her younger sister Dana Phillip along with another person identified as 37-year-old Jamieyel Pantor managed to escape the flames.
• When they got outside, they realized that Morris and Zaya did not make it out of the house, but rescue attempts were impossible as the house was already engulfed in flames.
• Morris and Zaya were later found crouched together a few feet away from their back door.

A police officer was killed in a car accident in Arouca on Sunday 02nd April, 2023.

A man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital yesterday after he was involved in a car accident in Port-of-Spain on Saturday 01st April, 2023.
