Pete got up first as usual and went up to the helm to shut off the anchor light and check our depth. When we woke up it was a super low tide. The depth meter said –. As he looked around he didn’t think we were aground but it’s happened before. As he let the meter warm up it finally showed that our depth was 4.5 ft. We draw 3.25 ft. so we were ok. Today we are headed in to the Pink Shell Resort and Marina. We have decided to take a mini vacation so to speak. We had 76 degrees and sun, so when we pulled in, we hopped into our suits to enjoy the three pools, three hot tubs, and the white sandy beach! They have three restaurants and shops. Believe it or not, Looping is hard, and it’s nice to just pamper ourselves today and tomorrow. We are gearing up to go to the Everglades and the Keys in the next few weeks, so feels like it’s time to take a break. See? We can justify anything!
